R.G. Summers AKA Darkpainter |
Short version: Born in Kansas, and I'm still here. Earning an AA degree in Art from Johnson County Community College, and having placed in Art competitions across the USA, from the East at Scarsdale International Art Show in NY, west to the "40 Miles of Art" at the Nelson Art Gallery KC. I am an engraver by trade for the printing industry, spending most of my days sculpting in brass. You can visit Olympic Graphics International for information on Foil Stamping and Embossing dies that I create for the printing industry. I have been involved with CubScouting in our Community since 1991. I have been everything from Den Leaders, Asst. DL, Cub Master, Asst CM, Committee Chairman, & Tiger Cub Coach. I love to paint, and Halloween is a wonderful excuse for me to keep in practice. Let's try to get kids out of the malls and back into the streets where they belong! Sin-cerely, Darkpainter P.S. Below is an attachment from the local newspaper. I want to thank Kate Hettinger of the Johnson County Sun Newspaper for the article she did. I know that what I said to her could have been nothing close to coherent for our regular listeners. Thank you Kate form making me seem not quite as looney as the rest of them!
